On 14-15 September 2017 meetings were held with the permanent residents of the communities of Arkhoti and Shatili which are adjacent to the Pshav-Khevsureti Protected Areas. During the meetings, permanent residents were informed about the goals and objectives of the program, population identified income-generating activities and also, local residents received donations.
The permanent residents of the following villages were financially encouraged:
Village Amgha - 5 inhabitants
Village Akhieli - 6 inhabitants
Village Chimgha- 1 inhabitant
Village Shatili-10 inhabitants
Village Mutso - 5 inhabitants
Village Ardoti - 3 inhabitants
Village Andaki - 1 inhabitant
Village Khone- 5 inhabitants
The event was held within the framework of the Support Programme for Protected Areas in the Caucasus – Georgia, with the support of Pshav-Khevsureti PAs Regional Advisory Council and Friends Association.
