The workshops to discuss tourism development strategies of Kintrishi PAs and Algeti NP has been held

On February 14 and 15, 2017, the workshops to discuss tourism development strategies of Kintrishi PAs and Algeti NP and its support zones has been held in the municipalities of the respective PAs. Tourism development strategies have to be elaborated under the framework of the “Support Programme for Protected Areas in the Caucasus – Georgia”. The workshops were conducted by the German tourism expert Steffen Schuelein who also is responsible for the development of the mentioned strategies. 

Representatives of the both municipalities, as well as the Agency of Protected Areas and the territorial Administrations, participated in the meetings. Besides, the directors of the PA Friends Associations and other local stakeholders involved in tourism activities were presented during the workshop.

The strategies will be finalized by April 2017.

On February 9 and 10, 2017, the workshops to discuss tourism development strategies of Pshav-Khevsureti PAs and Kazbegi NP has been held in the municipalities of the respective PAs. Tourism development strategies have to be elaborated under the framework of the “Support Programme for Protected Areas in the Caucasus – Georgia”. The workshops were conducted by the German tourism expert Steffen Schuelein and his local team members, who also are responsible for the development of the mentioned strategies.
